NEWFOCAS sessional carer pulls a woman from burning car.

18 October 2011 18:00

Jacob, who is 19 years old and works as a sessional carers for NEWFOCAS pulled a woman from her burning car after she had crashed into a tree.  The accident happened on Monday 17th October around 8.20pm on the A541 between Caerwys and Bodfari.  Jacob noticed smoke coming from the car and decided he needed to take action, so climbed into the car and managed to get the woman out of the car to safety before the Paramedics, Police and Fire Crews arrived.  Jacob has always been an excellent role model for the children he looks after at NEWFOCAS and he is always extremely positive and committed to whatever he decides to do.  We would all like to say how proud we are of Jacob and admire him for saving this lady from her burning car.

Testimonials

"They seem to have the ability to match children's needs to the placement, rather than the other way around, in my experience.  The child comes first".
