NEWFOCAS Foster Carers celebrate Christmas

Some of the NEWFOCAS foster carers and staff went out for Christmas Lunch this Thursday.  Everyone met up at 10am to have a get together and play party games and went on to have lunch, chat and catch up with each other.

Following the lunch Helen Taubman NEWFOCAS' Managing Director presented Fenella Higgins the Acting Business Manager with a Bouquet of flowers for passing her Diploma in Business Studies, and then went on to tell everyone about the links NEWFOCAS are making with the Kate Cairns Associates, which will help NEWFOCAS reach their goal of becoming a fully trauma informed agency.

"For twenty years Kate Cairns has been turning research and theory about trauma and attachment into knowledge that has changed lives - in fostering and residential care, in schools and in multi-agency teams."

"Kate Cairms association are able to take this applied knowledge and understanding and make it available through training and consultancy to enhance the practice of anyone who works with vulnerable people."
