NEWFOCAS Foster Carers celebrate Christmas

Our Staff

The management team

The management structure consists of six NEWFOCAS Directors (four Executive and two Non-Executive), a Business Manager, and a Service Manager.

The social work team

The NEWFOCAS social work team is lead by our Deputy Manager (who is also the Therapeutic Social Work Manager) and consists of :- three full-time qualified supervising Social Workers; Two Therapeutic Social Workers and one student Therapeutic Social Worker; The team is fully supported by three experienced Out of Hours Social Workers.

The administration team

Our well-qualified and highly experienced administration team is lead by a Senior NVQ4 qualified Administrator, and consists of a Social Work Team Administrator; a full-time Administrator for Carers and Panel; two part time Administrator for Children; two part time children's report coordinators and a freelance Panel Secretary.

The carer team

At any one time we have an average of 18 children living with our families. We limit our numbers to a maximum of 25 placements to ensure we offer the crucial and very individual attention required for the children to progress and flourish.

We believe in offering an innovative approach to caring. All our carers have a vast wealth of experience, are trained therapeutically, and work as a close-knit and cohesive family team. We encourage our carers to meet with our field staff on a bi-weekly basis to give and receive support. This opportunity allows team members to share ideas about NEWFOCAS development. We also hold a large, once monthly training meeting with all our social work staff.

Please feel free to explore our website and read all about our valuable work. Or alternatively, call us on 01244 550 300 or email contact us for further information.

Unlike larger Fostering Agencies, we are small enough to know all our Carers and their placements on a very individual basis and Carers are never left to deal with a crisis situation alone or unsupported.
