Making a Referral | New Focas

Please note that our ability to offer a place will be based upon:

Placement availability
Funding availability by the placing authority
A suitably skilled and experienced carer capable, able, and available to meet the child's identified needs
NEWFOCAS' ability and capacity to meet the child's identified needs
An initial two-way risk assessment relating to the referred child, and any other children already placed or living with the identified carer. This risk assessment will include any potential risk to the carers.

Unlike larger Fostering Agencies, we are small enough to know all our Carers and their placements on a very individual basis and carers are never left to deal with a crisis situation alone or unsupported.
